Email Marketing & Direct Mail

Email Marketing is the quickest way to really boost your business, often yeilding instant results for your venue

Connect with thousands of people via email, inform them, promote to them, retain and engage them... get busy!

Having a sound database of prospective new clients is just the half of it! Sure, it's a step in the right direction when it comes to focussing your marketing, but what are you going to do with it to try and drum up new business?

Well, with most people now using the internet (particularly mobile devices) to search for restaurants and hotels, email marketing is one of your most powerful and cost-effective marketing tools. So let's get sending!

Email Marketing and Direct Mail

At Smart Hospitality, we work closely with restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels, guesthouses and B&B's to manage all their e-marketing in-house. Not only can we design all your emails (e-shots) inkeeping with your company branding, we can also create effective sales' copy with persuasive and engaging titles, subheadings and bullet points to further entice your readers.

And what of the logistics to sending out such an email to a large number of people? Well, do not fear, this is also something our hospitality marketing specialists are ofay with! Firstly, we'll cleanse your email list, ensuring all duplications and 'bad' data is removed. If the list needs to be further segmented then of course we will ensure this is done too. And then to work we go! We'll schedule the email to go out on a certain day at a certain time, and we'll run the process from our our very own server. All you need do is sit back, relax and wait for the bookings to come flooding in. Simples! If that wasn't enough, we'll also send you a detailed report once the campaign (or series of campaigns) has been run so you can measure and analyse its results. Pretty neat huh?

Direct Mail

Tactile and tangible marketing material is still a favoured method of really defining the quality of your product, service an venue, good old faithful!

Email campaigns are most successful when used alongside other marketing techniques, such as direct mail. Direct mail can take the form of a flyer, a leaflet or a postcard: its basically something tangible that is delivered direct to your existing and prospective customer base with a sole purpose to attract more business.

A beautifully-written, perfectly-presented, incredibly-personalised and well-timed piece of direct mail can have impressive results for your hotel or restaurant, especially when contacting existing guests.

At Smart Hospitality, we can help you with the graphic design and content of your direct mail, the printing of it and the actual mail fulfilment (or delivery process in layman's terms), whilst often securing the most cost-effective prices along the way.

As with our email marketing service, we will also provide you with a full analysis of your campaign once it has run its course. We can find out how many people engaged with your sales' mail, how many people ordered off the back of it, and how many people have kept it for future use.

direct-mail.2

Please don't be baffled by all this emarketing and direct mail terminology. It's really not as complicated as it sounds, so long as you have a marketing agency who know their stuff behind you!

The easiest way to think of it is like this... just 'existing' online isn't enough anymore: you also have to interact with your 'live' audience. And the best way to do that is to utilise your social media (Facebook and Twitter for example), send targeted e-shots (e-marketing) campaigns on a regular basis and physical printed literature. This is what the client wants and needs in order to entice them to stay at your hotel or eat in your restaurant.

Guest Profiling & Data

Guest profiling is an incredibly specialist & intelligent marketing service that you need to really boost your trade.

We offer this service specifically for the restaurant and hotel industry. From past encounters, you'll have a fine grasp on what constitutes as the perfect guest or diner who is best suited to your establishment.

Customer Data and Data Services

If only all your customers could be of the same calibre... well they can... you just need a little help to find them!  And that's where we come in: offering a guest profiling service second to no other.

First of all, we'll help you to identify your most profitable guests. We'll then analyse this data and cleanse it fully to ensure every single aspect is correct. This is incredibly important as any inaccuracies will have a negative effect going forwards. From these initial findings, we will then approach the most reputable data houses in the UK and work in partnership with them to create a more detailed profile of your 'best guests'. We'll be able to find out all sorts of information; including their income, their council tax band, their marital status, and even their favourite place to shop! The more knowledge we can gather, the better.

From this detailed profiling and cleansing process, we will subsequently be able to supply you with a heap of new data for potential customers that match your existing guest and diner profiles.

That's right, we'll provide you with a comprehensive data set of the very people that you need to be targeting for your venue.

And, our services don't just stop there. We can go one step further and design a range of bespoke direct mail communications to target their interests, all of which we can email directly on your behalf (this is called email marketing or e-marketing).

Hospitality SEO & Marketing

Tangible and transparent online marketing for maximum return on investment for your venue

In this day and age, any business that doesn't promote itself online seriously risks being left behind, fortunately you have found us!

Hospitality SEO and Marketing

This is particularly true for those working in the hospitality trade. Restaurants are a law unto their own and require a special blend of social, local and mobile marketing strategies. But why do these three areas of online marketing matter so much? Well, here's some 'food for thought':

  • 146% of consumers rely on social media when making a purchasing decision

  • 279% of consumers use search engines to find local services, with as many as 43% of all Google searches now having local intent

  • 3The Internet is now accessed more on mobile devices than on desktop computers

Most of us now own smartphones or tablets allowing us to search for what we want on the move. This is particularly pertinent to the restaurant business, by and by because the most searched term by all mobile users (above any other industry) is 'Restaurants'. Surely this shows that it is now more important than ever for your venue to have a strong online presence!?

A recent survey of 1,500 smartphone users showed that 81% had used an app to conduct a search for a restaurant and 92% had used mobile web...
A staggering 75% of searches made their final decision on where to eat based on their search engine results.

Hospitality SEO and Marketing

At Smart Hospitality, we have the industry knowledge to understand what your customers are looking for and the technical expertise to make you visible online. With our dedicated marketing gurus covering every aspect of social, local and mobile SEO; we'll ensure that your restaurant gets noticed above your competition. Restaurant Web Design

Web Design for Restaurants, Pubs, Clubs and Bars

So, logo's done, stationery's printed, sign's up, menu covers are on tables and chef's on standby - check; surely everything's in place and you're ready to go, right? Wrong!

Whilst you will attract a passing footfall, granted, many potential customers will no nothing of your existence! You could be situated right in the heart of a buzzing city centre but, with so many people now turning to the internet to search for a place to dine out (particularly when it comes to looking for special offers and discounts), you could rapidly be losing business to your competitors without even realising it.

What do you need from a website then?
Well, it's simple: a fully functioning and effective website for your restaurant to kickstart your cyber-journey. Regardless of how novice you are (and believe us when we say some of the best of us were once in your very shoes), turning to online marketing may be your most savvy business move yet.

restaurant webdesign alessandro

At Smart Hospitality, we specialise in restaurant web design; offering both brochure style and CMS platforms, with the option to integrate online menus and bespoke table booking systems.

A professional brochure style website is exactly that; a virtual sales' brochure (without the continued cost of printing and postage). The usual 'page suspects' for restaurant brochure style websites include a Home Page, an About Us, Company History, Staff Bios, Products and Services, a Contact Us and SiteMap page, as well as Feedback and Testimonials.

Restaurant web design is the perfect platform to show-off your venue and your food. Professional photographs of your stunning dishes, exquisite cocktails and classy interiors can be utilised throughout the whole of your site; including, backgrounds, images, banners and adverts. Blogs and galleries are also incredibly useful for posting up-to-date images of new menu items, events and other news.

What's so great about brochure style websites is that you have room to rave about you, your staff and your product. As well as photography, you can use videos, feedback forms and links to social media to really promote user interaction.

Restaurant Web Design Go

You may be thinking 'how the hibbidy jibbidies can I do all of this'? Well, fear not. At Smart Hospitality, we build all of our restaurant brochure style websites using concise, easy-to-use, content managed backend systems. This is so you can make changes to your website in the future (as and when you need to), with absolutely no hassle. This will save time and enable you to continuously market and promote your business completely free of charge (once the hard graft has been put down by us of course).

With all our brochure style, content managed restaurant web designs, we can integrate online menus and 'live' table booking systems if required. An online menu is exactly that; your food and drink menu live on your website in a 'downloadable' format. If customers can see the type of food of you serve, and an indication of its quality (when perhaps they wouldn't otherwise come your way), you could be instantly boosting your sales by incorporating one.

A table booking system is a software that enables you to take online bookings for your restaurant and manage these in one central place. You can access this from anywhere with an internet connection, multiple staff can edit and book on the same diary without the risk of overwriting or double booking, and you can build a database for email marketing and customise it based on their spend history.

It really is imperative that you start to use the potential of the internet...
...as a form of your marketing, especially with mobile device sales (such as smartphones and tablets) up by 300% in 2013 alone. It is actually proven (in the UK) that we now spend more time on our phones and mobile devices shopping than we do making phone calls, and this includes looking for restaurants and making table bookings. Madness!! Just think of all that extra business waiting to find you.
